Leveraging Technology to Impact Communities

David Gomez & Associates was recently retained by The Glendower Group, Inc. to fill a Chief Information Officer role in New Haven, CT.

The Chief Information Officer’s role is to provide vision and leadership for developing and implementing information technology initiatives that align with the mission of Elm City Communities (ECC) and its various organizations.

Elm City and SeeClickFix are partnering together to provide a communication platform to report issues on Housing Authority properties. According to The New Haven Register, people living the community can report issues that impact housing authority developments and neighborhoods by using a mobile device or computer. CEO and founder of SeeClickFix said people from around the world are constructively communicating the problems they find in their communities, and that ECC will be the first housing authority in the country to have this type of service. Karen DuBois-Walton, Executive Director of Authority, reported that it can be used in conjunction with the current work-order system already in place for issues such as pot holes and other usual property problems. In other words, the platform enables Elm City Communities of New Haven to have a positive impact on the public and be good to their neighbors.

Joseph Crotty, Principal of DG&A, recruited Donna Marie Piccirilli as Elm City’s next Chief Information Officer. Donna brings over 20 years of IT experience to New Haven. Donna has an MBA, Information Technology Concentration from Ashford University, and a BS in Computer Science from the University of Scranton, PA.

DG&A wishes all the best to Elm City as they continue to leverage technology to impact their community daily.
