Aunt Martha’s Youth Service Center retained David Gomez & Associates as an executive search partner to find their next Chief Medical Officer.
Aunt Martha’s offers a full range of comprehensive, coordinated, high quality services in communities throughout Illinois. Aunt Martha’s serves three and a half times as many uninsured patients as the average community health center in Illinois and is the largest provider of dental and behavioral services among community health centers in Illinois. Aunt Martha’s is a Federally Qualified Healthcare Center which is comprised of 18 clinics.
The Chief Medical Officer is responsible for developing and updating the implementation of all medical policies, procedures and protocols, ensuring that all medical operations are in compliance with BPHC and DHS/OASA clinical regulations and program expectations. This person also monitors JCAHO clinical standards of care, monitoring productivity and outcome performance data to ensure maximizing quality services, and directs all activities pertaining to the relationship of Aunt Martha’s Health Services with other medical facilities, especially regarding admitting privileges, laboratory services and specialty services.
DG&A found the right candidate for the position: Dr. Charles King Barron.
Dr. Charles King Barron is a Certified Physician Executive at the Association for Physician Executives, Board Certified at the American Board of Family Practice, and holds a State of Illinois Medical License. Before joining Aunt Martha’s, he served as the Lead Provider of Organization Clinical Quality at Access Community Health Network and Chairman at the Quality Advisory Committee. He was a Member of the Managed Care Quality Committee since 2013, Regional Medical Director at Southwest Region 1 since 2007, and an Associate Medical Director of Access Southwest Health Center since 2000.
